Need a Morning Prayer?

O Lord, help me to realize that nothing will happen to me today that You and I cannot work out together.

HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD, PRAY FOR US

O Mary, who abandoned your soul to happiness by offering it to God, grant that in our gift to God, our joy may be complete.  O Virgin radiant with joy, grant that we may believe in the happiness which God in His love wills to offer us; make joy bloom again in hearts given over to sadness; teach us to detach ourselves from worldly pleasures and to seek our happiness in God; help us to radiate the witness of Christian joy; through your presence in our life, be for us the font of a joy which is ever new. AMEN.

God of every time and place, you hold each moment and shape each day; open our eyes to see you at work, walk beside us wherever our journeys lead, and strengthen us as your disciples in every area of our lives.  Amen

An Irish Blessing
May the Power of God uphold you, His wisdom guide you, His hand guard you, His path lie before you and His shield protect you as you journey today and thoughout your life.

CASA letters have been sent out, you may have noticed we have a much larger goal this year!  Little Rock increased it by almost 150%.  Consider this as you decide how much you can donate this year.  This may be a hard goal to reach in the current economy.

Prayer Intentions -  www.dolr.org/prayers/index.php

I tell you solemnly, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours, says the Lord.   Mark 11:23,24

What's Up with That?

Life isn't just about being alive. It's about living. Instead of killing the spirits of people we know, why not take steps to give them life?

The Real WORD

Remember "sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me"? Whether people want to believe it or not, words can kill.

Video Daily Reflections

The U.S. bishops’ Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC) has expanded its streaming video site, CCC-TV, to include daily reflections, interviews and stories of faith that offer a range of engaging multimedia content. The new features give visitors the opportunity to experience the rich tapestry of Catholic faith from diverse perspectives and learn about the activities of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Church across the country. Daily reflections offer brief commentaries on the Mass readings of the day. The Archdioceses of Galveston-Houston, New Orleans, Miami, San Antonio, Washington, D.C and the Dioceses of Fort Wayne-South Bend and Raleigh are currently participating. Several other dioceses are scheduled to tape reflections for the coming year.
